LOWBLOCK Soccer
Tactical top-down football, built to be played together
A 2D top-down football game about through balls and holding a lead, not packs and points. Co-operative against the computer, online or on one sofa.

Developer by trade, game designer by obsession.
Unconventional games made in whatever time is left over — multiplayer bridge sims, social deduction, procedural map generators. Most of it is designed specifically for me, and nobody else plays it. Everything here is a side quest from the day job.
In development, and honest about it.

A dungeon crawl for one, on one side of paper
A print-and-play dungeon delve designed to be published daily — a level on one side, your party on the other, no dice and nothing to set up. It ran for a handful of levels in 2020 and then stopped, for reasons worth writing down.

Eighteen identical cards, and the game is where they land
A pirate dexterity game made for Button Shy's September 2019 design challenge, where all eighteen cards had to be identical. Instead of fighting the constraint, the cards became terrain: you drop them into an island and play by covering and uncovering what is printed on them.
Writing about the games, filed in the archive with everything else.
The football games I used to play with friends have quietly turned into a different genre. LOWBLOCK is my attempt to build the one that went missing.
My daily dungeon game failed because the paper got too busy. Underneath that was something I hadn't seen: the simplicity of Wordle, crosswords and sudoku is borrowed, and a dungeon has nothing to borrow it from.
In 2020 I tried to build the RPG version of Wordle — a solo dungeon crawl on one printable page, published daily, with no dice and nothing to set up.
