Just returned from a fantastic canoe trip in the wilderness of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Minnesota. There really is nothing like this in the UK, or Guernsey, so it was well worth the effort to go and spend six days trekking by canoe through this genuinely unspoilt wilderness.

Didn’t see any bears or moose but spotted just about every other sort of wildlife – from Eagles to Beavers!

We hired all of our gear from North Country Canoe Outfitters who did a great job (although some better waterproofing would have helped!). They also helped us out with a route and although we were a bit pushed it all worked out really well and I would recommend their services.
